As a part of its mission to make technical training accessible to all, the Tennessee Technology Center has taken advantage of grant opportunities through the Tennessee Board of Regents.

For the past four years, the center has secured grant funds to help advertise its offerings to non-traditional students (women in traditionally male-dominated fields, males in traditionally female-dominated programs), minorities and students with disabilities.

As a part of the program, TTC Dickson was able to award scholarships to students who embodied the principles of diversity.

The recently named winners were:

Joseph Horton, Practical Nursing/Ashland City campus.

Joseph Daniels, Computer Information Technology/Dickson campus.

Carrie Russell, Business Systems Technology/Clarksville campus.

Horton is a Burns resident. Daniels is a Dickson resident. Russell is a resident of Chapmansboro in Cheatham County.
