The financial aid program at Tennessee Technology Center at Dickson is designed to aid students who would find it difficult or impossible to attend without financial assistance.  The financial aid staff welcomes the opportunity to assist students in the application process and discuss financial needs for education.  Major emphasis for determining eligibility and receiving financial aid is placed on financial need and academic achievement.

Federal and State aid programs are as follows:

  • Federal Pell Grant

  • Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

  • Federal Work Study Program (FWSP)

  • Tennessee Student Assistant Award Program (TSAA)

  • Wilder-Naifeh Technical Skills Grant (Lottery Scholarships)

Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order for eligibility for these programs to be determined. This application must be completed each academic year.

Applications can be obtained at the school or can be completed on the web at www.fafsa.ed.gov.  The school code is 013955.

State Vocational Rehabilitation:  This program operates through the Department of Human Services.  Eligible disabled students receive assistance depending upon the student's demonstrated need.  Eligibility should be established prior to enrollment.  Call the Financial Aid Office for area phone numbers.

Workforce Investment Act (WIA):  Eligible students may receive federal assistance for tuition and fees, books and supplies, transportation and day care services.  Students must be assessed and certified prior to their enrollment.  The school must receive written certification prior to the student's first day of class  Below are some local WIA offices:

  • Dickson County, 615-446-0229

Up to $1,500* per year is available for Wilder-Naifeh recipients.
Students can enroll as a full-time or part-time TTC student pursuing a diploma or certificate.
All individuals interested in applying for a Wilder-Naifeh Grant will need to have a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) processed by May 1. Applications processed after May 1 will be accepted, but preference will be given to those processed on or before May 1. Earlier is better! Don't delay in submitting your form.
To maintain the Wilder-Naifeh Grant students must simply maintain satisfactory academic progress (a grade of "C" or better and meet attendance requirements.)
Caution! Any individual who receives the Hope Scholarship is not eligible for the Wilder-Naifeh. Hope scholarship recipients who enroll in a community college or four year institution and drop out before completing their program cannot receive the Wilder-Naifeh Grant.
Costs at a Technology Center are significantly less than those at a four year institution or a community college. The grant may pay up to $1,500 annually.
